Privacy
How we handle your data — explained simply, without legal fine print.
We collect as little data as possible. This page explains in plain language what happens when you visit krypto-leitfaden.at.
Cookies
We set technically necessary cookies so the site works (e.g. for language preference). Optional cookies (e.g. for analytics) are only set with your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings in the footer or delete cookies in your browser.
Analytics
Where web analytics is used, only pseudonymised data is processed and IP addresses are stored in shortened form. Analytics tools are only activated after your consent. Identifying individual persons is not intended.
Affiliate links
When you click a provider link, data (e.g. click timestamp, referrer, cookie ID) may be transmitted to the respective provider so they can attribute a commission to us. We have no control over the data processing of the third-party provider; we typically only receive aggregated evaluations and no data suitable for directly identifying you.
Server log data
When you access the website, the hosting provider automatically stores technical data in so-called server logs: IP address, date and time, page accessed, browser type, operating system and referrer. This data serves secure operation, error analysis and protection against misuse (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and is only stored for as long as necessary for that purpose.
Newsletter
We currently do not offer a newsletter. If we change that, strict double opt-in applies — you would have to confirm your sign-up by email, and every email includes an unsubscribe link.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability at any time (GDPR Art. 15–22). You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. Just contact us by email.

Detailed privacy notice
The following section contains the detailed mandatory information required by the GDPR. It supplements the plain-language summary above with the legally required details.
Controller within the meaning of the GDPR
Laurin Wurm, Eiswerkstraße 9, 1220 Vienna, Austria. Email: kontakt@krypto-leitfaden.at. The address corresponds to the information in the imprint.
Legal bases for processing
This information is provided pursuant to Art. 13 GDPR. Personal data is processed in particular on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent, e.g. for optional cookies and analytics tools) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating, securing and continuously improving the website). Any consent given can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
Cookies in detail
We distinguish between strictly necessary cookies (e.g. language preference, cookie-consent state), which are set without consent, and optional cookies (e.g. for analytics or convenience features), which are only set after active consent. Consent given can be revoked at any time via the cookie settings in the footer.
Analytics tools in detail
Where web analytics is used, we rely on a privacy-friendly tool (e.g. Plausible Analytics or a self-hosted Matomo instance) for statistical analysis of usage behaviour (page views, time on page, approximate geographic region at country level). Only pseudonymised data is processed; IP addresses are processed in shortened form. Analytics tools are only activated after your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Should tools with potential third-country transfer be used, this only takes place on the basis of active consent and with appropriate safeguards in place (Standard Contractual Clauses, additional measures where required).
Affiliate tracking
When you click an affiliate link, data (e.g. click timestamp, referrer, cookie or device ID) may be transmitted to the respective partner provider so they can attribute a sign-up originating from our website. Processing and storage of this data is carried out by the respective partner as an independent controller; we have no control over their data processing. We typically only receive aggregated evaluations (e.g. number of attributed sign-ups) and no data suitable for directly identifying you.
Storage period
Personal data is only stored for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. Afterwards the data is deleted or anonymised.
Recipients and processors
Recipients of personal data may include in particular: hosting and infrastructure providers, analytics and performance tools, and affiliate partners. Where required, processor agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR are in place.
Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – in Austria with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at).
